Have a groovy weekend!

Paul-and-Linda-McCartney--007

I’m looking forward to this long weekend.  We plan to go to the zoo where we will get a map and my son will want to post it up on his wall and call it his ‘treasure map’.

I have been making time to do things I love per the #flatoutlove challenge like singing, reading, cooking and rollerblading and I hope to continue that this weekend.  (I have three new recipes to try, veggie black bean burgers, cheesy cauliflower dippers and one pot white bean chili.)  It was surprisingly hard to think about what I love to do but now I’m on a roll!

Have an engrossing weekend

What are you up to this weekend?  The husband is running in a ROC Race and I’m hoping to go see the kids’ teachers perform in a hip hop dance competition, they step and they stroll.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Have a peaceful weekend…

photo (2)   I saw this Lao Tzu quote while sitting in a dentist chair so I had plenty of time to contemplate it.  It reminds me to take a deep breath, keep putting one foot in front of the other, and have faith that it will all work out in the end.

This weekend I am going to attempt to make my own chocolate syrup and this amazing spaghetti squash for a Thai treat.  We also have pizza and a pool party and open house at the new daycare. What are you up to this weekend?

PS Here is a wonderful post inspired by the quote above.  I am a perfect example of number 4, and I have to constantly remind myself to do number 7.

Hope your weekend is filled with love and laughter

I love this picture of Elaine Stritch.

What are you up to this weekend?  We’re taking the kids to one of their very first baseball games and throwing them a birthday party.  It will be so much fun to share these new experiences with them.  I think that’s one of the best parts of parenthood, you get to experience it all as new again.

Have a delicious weekend!

What are you up to this weekend?  It’s my birthday on Sunday and my sister is coming over to babysit so Terry and I can have some adult time.  We thought about seeing a movie but might go rock-climbing instead!

Doesn’t that cupcake look delicious?  We’ll be finding something sweet to eat to celebrate.  This cupcake comes from Sift, a bakery in San Francisco that a friend from college started.  I wish I lived close enough to go pick one up!

Have a wonderful weekend!
