A few years ago my friend Goh turned me on to the cotton stretch pencil skirt.  What’s great about it is that it is slimming and sexy and looks good on everyone. It usually comes in a variety of colors and patterns so you can add some variety and interest to your wardrobe.

What I love most is that I can dress it up with heels and a blouse or dress it down with chucks and a tee and still feel stylish.  I choose skirts that are primarily cotton which makes them cool and comfy and a great alternative to shorts in the summer.

The stretch factor is key because it means I can still sit on the floor, climb over baby gates and chase after my little buggers without worrying about ripping the skirt, it just bounces right back.
